You must have your own Foalphotography account in order to submit and sell work on our site. Only serious photographers need apply. Foalphotography aims to showcase, produce, and sell prints of your work, on your behalf. Any files that you later submit must be full sized digital photographs or good-quality negative scans, in .jpg format.

This is an artist account only, and is not necessary if you only wish to purchase work.

Print princes are as shown in our table to the left, and print sizes are determined from the resolution of your upload. Artists recieve 60% of the profit after printing expenses in British Pounds Sterling, unless otherwise agreed.

As a simple example, if someone purchases one £12.00 print, 60% of 12.00 is £7.20, and minus our standard printing fee of £2.00, leaves you, the artist, with £5.20 for the print.


 

Where does the rest of the money go?

Foalphotography takes a standard £2 printing cost, regardless of the size of print purchased. This £2 does not, however, cover our printing costs for larger prints, bearing in mind high quality dpi, ink and paper costs. Further, there are webhosting, web design, payment fulfillment providers, and other, miscellaneous expenses that need covering. We at Foalphotography are also human, with a goal of ultimately covering setup and maintenance costs and earning an extra bob or two which can ensure that Foalphotography continues to grow!

Joining us is free. After filling out the form below, it will take aproximately 24 hours for your account to be set up. You will be emailed with further instructions on how to upload your photographs when this process is complete. We will only ask for your full name and address upon the sale of your first print, in order to dispatch your cheque.

Terms and Conditions

By uploading to Foalphotography, you affirm that the files you submit are your own work, which you grant Foalphotography the right to showcase and print, informing you of the details of every sale carried out on your behalf. You do not grant Foalphotography or its customers ownership or copyright of any of your photographs, and Foalphotography will endeavor to make each customer aware of the illegallity of making any kind of replica of the prints that they purchase. Foalphotography can not, however, be held responsible for any breaches of copyright that are carried out by customers who have purchased a print of your artwork. In such a situation, the pursual of legal action lies solely with you.

You will receive 60% of the print's profit, minus our standard £2 printing fee. This means that you do not receive any money from postage contributions, nor do you benefit from any additional framing a user may purchase.

Foalphotography will make payments to you by cheque, in British Pounds Sterling (£) [unless otherwise agreed], every six months, or when profits held in your name exceed £60. Before dispatching your earnings, you will be contacted for your name and a postal address. Failure to provide this within twelve months of such a request will result in your earnings becoming the property of Foalphotography.

Foalphotography will endeavor to dispatch payments within ten days of a specific, unscheduled request. Such requests made before your scheduled payment date, however, incur a £0.80 charge, which will be deducted from the amount being transferred.

Foalphotography has the right to suspend or remove any user's online account, without warning. Foalphotography will, however, send the user any money that they have earned through the successful sale of their photographic prints.

Foalphotography is not to be treated as a photographic storage facility and, as such, can take no responsibility for loss of uploaded files.
